AMA National High Point Tabella Rossa a Ferrandis
Mount Morris (Pennsylvania). Dylan Ferrandis ha conquistato la classifica assoluta della terza prova del Lucas Oil Championship con una condotta di gara intelligente che lo ha portato sul gradino più alto del podio nonostante non fosse il pilota più veloce in pista. Sempre nel gruppo dei primi allo start, il francese ha lungamente combattuto con suoi diretti antagonisti, soprattutto in gara due con Ken Roczen concludendo sempre alle spalle dei vincitori di frazione. La prima manche è andata a Adam Cianciarulo che ha capitalizzato una partenza perfetta imprimendo fin dai primi istanti un ritmo altissimo alla gara. Gara due ha finalmente acceso i riflettori su Eli Tomac che, dopo aver passato il leader Cianciarulo, ha inanellato una serie velocissima di passaggi (suo il giro veloce di gara), conquistanto la prima vittoria della stagione outdoor.
L’assoluta è quindi andata a Dylan Ferrandis e podio completato dalla coppia in verde Adam Cianciarulo, Eli Tomac. Ai piedi del podio, quarto, Ken Roczen che ha pagato carissimo l’errore (caduta) in gara uno mentre era intento ad inseguire il fuggitivo Cianciarulo.
La Tabella Rossa passa nelle mani di Dylan Ferrandis (133 pt) che guida la classifica con un margine di tre punto su Ken Roczen (130 pt). Terzo posto per Aaron Plessinger che accusa un ritardo di trenta punti sul leader.
Dylan Ferrandis: “What a race. I don’t know what to say. I got a good start and was able to get by Ken Roczen, which was good because he was so fast today. It was a war (after that). Ken kept pushing me and we were able to come to Adam Cianciarulo. It was crazy how competitive it was with them. We were going so fast and the track was so difficult. It’s just amazing to get a win here today and get a hold of the red plate again.”

Prima vittoria in carriera per l’ufficiale Husqvarna Jalek Swoll che alla vittoria in gara uno, ha sommato un intelligente terzo posto nella frazione finale, ottenuto con una condotta conservativa. Sul secondo gradino del podio, l’atteso leader di classifica Jett Lawrence. L’australiano, che era visibilmente il più veloce pilota in pista, non ha pienamente sfruttato le sue possibilità a causa di una serie infinita di piccoli errori che lo hanno sempre costretto ad inseguire. Terzo posto assoluto per il vincitore di gara due Justin Cooper che nella frazione iniziale non ha dato seguito all’ottima partenza terminando ai margini della top five.
Tabella Rossa nelle mani di Jett Lawrence (132 pt) che allunga in classifica generale nei confronti di Justin Cooper (121 pt) e di Hunter Lawrence (90 pt).
Jake Swoll: “We had someone on our team pass away earlier this week, so to honor him with this win feels amazing. To get a win here in front of all these fans is incredible. My tongue was in the spokes, I was so tired, but I dug deep. I knew I could do this win. We’ve put in so much work to have the opportunity to be here. I’m at a loss for words right now.”
Jett Lawrence: “I got into second and tried to put in a charge on Cooper, but noticed I wasn’t gaining much ground. I realized I’d rather just settle in and ride for second rather than potentially lose more points. I’m not totally happy with my effort today, but we still finished second and had a good day in the championship.”
