AMA National Fox Raceway II Ferrandis conquista il titolo 450
Fox Raceway, Pala (California.). Penultimo appuntamento del Lucas Oil Motocross Championship nello stato della California. Esattamente trenta anni dopo (1991) un altro transalpino ha conquistato il jackpot nel massimo campionato americano della classe 450. L’erede di Jean Michel Bayle adesso ha un nome e si chiama Dylan Ferrands. L’ufficiale Yamaha non ha mai smesso di credere nella sua impresa e su qualsiasi terreno, a dispetto di tutte le previsioni, in sella alla moto forse meno quotata nella big class, non ha mai mollato la presa sfiancando cosi il suo miglior avversario ovvero Ken Roczen. L’esito del campionato era ormai scritto da qualche settimana ma la supremazia e l’intelligenza tattica di Dylan gli hanno consentito di chiudere i giochi con una prova di anticipo. Nel secondo appuntamento di Pala l’avversario nell’assoluta è stato il “solito” Tomac che nel finale di stagione, ha ritrovato la sua proverbiale velocità sui terreni tradizionali conquistando cosi gli ultimi due appuntamenti
. Ancora in evidenza Cooper Webb (terzo assoluto) che ha riconfermato il podio con una prova tutta corsa in attaccp. Ken Roczen (quarto assoluto) ha ceduto nel momento in cui avrebbe dovuto credere ancora nelle sue possibilità lasciando cosi via libera a Ferrandis.
Con il titolo 2021 assegnato a Dylan Ferrandis attenzione focalizzata sulla lotta per la conquista del secondo e terzo posto che vede protagonisti Ken Roczen (424 pt) ed il protagonisto dello scorcio finale della stagione Eli Tomac (415 pt).
Dylan Ferrandis: “I think I’ve run out of emotion. Today was hard, last weekend was hard. I’ve pushed deep inside to get through it. I dreamed when I was young to be a 250 Class Champion, but I never dreamed of being a 450 Class Champion. It’s not even a dream come true, it is something that’s the best thing I could ever do in my life. Wow, it’s unreal.”
Eli Tomac: “I just felt so good in Moto 2. I was a little back in the beginning, but was able to really make passes and got the job done early. It’s really fun to be out there when I’m in the zone like that and it’s great to get a couple wins here late in the season.”
Jett Lawrence: “I think everything just fell into place (today).It was just a hard day, it’s really hot. It’s been one of the toughest days we’ve had in a while. It feels great to get three in a row here at Fox Raceway.”

Ancora una netta doppia netta affermazione per Jett Lawrence che ha cosi ipotecato il titolo della quarto di litro. Il suo principale antagonista Justin Cooper (terzo assoluto) non ha vissuto al Fox Raceway la miglior giornata, perdendo ancora punti preziosi nel ranking generale. Ottima prestazione per Michael Mosiman che è salito sul secondo gradino del podio di giornata.
La Tabella Rossa nelle mani di Jett Lawrence (464 pt) seguito con un notevole scarto da Justin Cooper (441 pt). Terzo posto per il secondo ufficiale HRC Hunter Lawrence (349 pt).
