AMA National Budds Creek Anderson vince, Tomac Tabella Rossa
Budds Creek (Maryland). Il decimo appuntamento del massimo campionato statunitense ha mostrato ancora una volta un grande equilibrio tra i due piloti che presumibilmente si contenderanno il titolo fino all’ultima manches. Se Eli Tomac non ha avuto la fortuna dalla sua parte in gara due quando, a causa di una partenza perfettibile, è stato chiamato agli straordinari, Chase Sexton nella frazione di apertura è stato bersagliato da eventi non favorevoli. La caduta rimediata dopo pochi mintuti dallo start è imputabile solo ad un sua mancanza, ma il coinvolgimento nell’errore di un altro pilota dopo pochi minuti, è imputabile solo alla sfortuna che lo ha costretto all’ennesima ripartenza.
Al termine della giornata il più costante è risultato Jason Anderson che ha sommato due piazze d’onore ed è salito sul gradino più alto del podio per la seconda volta in carriera nella classe 450. Medaglia d’argento per Eli Tomac che ha cosi riconquistato la Tabella Rossa e terzo posto per Ken Roczen che ha mostrato ottime performances specialmente nei primi momenti di gara. A Chase Sexton il merito di aver combattuto con caparbietà contro eventi sfortunati lasciando sul campo pochissimi punti nei confronti di Eli Tomac. Al via della gara anche il nostro Antonio Cairoli che dopo gli ottimi riscontri cronometrici registrati nelle cronometrate (secondo), ha dovuto abbandonare l’idea di combattere pochi istanti dopo il via di gara uno quando è volato via sul lungo panettone situato dopo il rettilineo di partenza. Una grande contusione ad una mano che gli ha portato in dote una piccola frattura, lo ha costretto a chiudere anzitempo l’ultima apparizione americano del 2022.
Tabella Rossa tornata nelle mani di Eli Tomac (449 pt) che guida il ranking generale con una sola lunghezza di scarto su Chase Sexton. Terzo posto per Jason Anderson (369pt).

“I never really felt good on the track all day. I made too many mistakes and had a tough first moto. I knew I needed to come out in Moto 2 and score max points, which we did. I fell, but I believed I could still win and I just dug deep to make it happen. Now we can look ahead to next week and try to be better.”

Jett Lawrence sebbene non sia stato incisivo come nelle prime gare della stagione outdoor, a Budds creek ha incrementato le sue chances di riconquistare il titolo della quarto di litro grazie alla sua resilenza che lo ha portato a conquistare un posto sul podio dell’assoluta, terzo, nonostante qualche errore evitabile e partenze sempre farraginose. L’assoluta è andata ad un felicissimo RJ Hampshire tornato alla vittoria dopo un lungo periodo (2020). Secondo gradino del podio per il sempre più consistente Jo Shimoda che ha cosi conquistato la medesima piazza nel ranking generale scalzando Hunter Lawrence che ha vissuto una giornata difficile a Budds Creek.
La Tabella Rossa sempre nelle mani di Jett Lawrence che guida il ranking generale con 433 punti. Secondo e terzo posto per Jo Shimoda (396 pt) e Hunter Lawrence (390 pt).
